    Bahraini students win top prize at GCC hackathon at Expo 2020 Dubai

    Bahraini students won a prize in the hackathon held at Expo 2020 Dubai. For their campaign highlighting the health risks of electronic cigarettes (vaping), they won the award. As part of the Expo 2020 Dubai initiatives, the three-day Hackathon competition was held at the pavilion of the GCC General Secretariat. Competition categories included mental and social health of the elderly, electronic cigarette risks, and the dangers of drugs.

    Bahraini students win top prize at GCC hackathon at Expo 2020 DubaiStudents from Saudi Arabia won the best content award (drugs), while Qataris won the most creative content award (risks associated with vaping). The UAE team won the award for best visual presentation (mental and social health of elderly people). Kuwaiti students won the team spirit award for their campaign to highlight the dangers of drugs.
